Welcome to RiverKids

We're so glad you decided to place your children in our care during the worship service.  We hope to make this time a great experience for both you and your kids. We work hard to ensure safe and interactive learning environments, so children can discover Biblical principles that will help them navigate life's challenges. Our goal is to partner with parents as they teach their children God's word. We do this by ensuring excellent curriculum, effective teachers, and resources for parents to utilize during the week.

"You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul . . . You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up."

Babbling Brook (Infants & Toddlers)

Staffed by caring adults who love little children, the nursery is full of age appropriate toys to entertain your children while you enjoy the service. Our volunteers will periodically check diapers and tend to other routine needs of such young children.

Wading Pool (Pre K – K)

We use a specially designed curriculum to engage our active preschoolers. They are so much fun! Through group and individual activities such as songs, stories, games, crafts, etc, children learn to recognize the Bible is God’s Word and that God loves and cares for them.  Parents will receive resources to reinforce what their children are learning at home. These include activity pages and a CD of the songs so the fun can continue at home and on the road.

The Stream (1-2nd Grade) &
Ragin’ River Kids (3rd-5th Grade)

Our elementary aged children use "The Gospel Project" curriculum to learn how Christ fits into the entire gospel story, from Genesis to Revelation. This approach immerses the kids in the gospel through every Biblical event, character, and Biblical concept so they can better understand God’s Word and the world around them. Along the way they will discover how they fit into the gospel story, too! Parents will receive The Big Picture Cards to help them discuss what their child learns each week, so they can further their child's spiritual growth.

Safety First!

The safety of your children is priority.

  • Every teacher and adult helper has been background checked.

  • Every child is registered in our check in system each week.  Children receive a sticker to wear with their name and a number on it.  Parents receive a matching sticker. Children can be picked up only upon displaying the matching sticker. If a child needs a parent during the service, their child's number will be displayed on the screen.

  • Food Allergies - all of our rooms are peanut free. We do give animal crackers to the 3 - 5 year olds. You may request your child not receive a snack when you register each week.

  • Restrooms - if a child needs to go to the bathroom during the service, we put their number on the screen so parents can take them.  We also ask parents to take their children who are toilet training to the restroom before their class.

Additional Activities and Community Service Projects:

It's important to us that children form positive spiritual friendships outside of the regular Sunday mornings. We sponsor activities at different times during the year. These may include a sledding party at Tawasentha Park, picnics, sports, etc. We also usually tackle a community service project or two so the children learn how to care for the needs of others. This is a great way to teach children to live and serve like Jesus and it's fun to do it together!
